A quick changing of my mind (thankfully) landed me on a new section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. I was met with almost winter like conditions Saturday morning. Freshly fallen snow, 30 degree temps and my trusty cold weather gear accompanied me during my morning traverse of this beautiful portion of the trail.
The run started with a shock to the body, a decent size hill to wake up the circulatory and muscular systems. I started this run at the Ogden Nature Center's North Trail, which quickly ascends to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Once again during my return back to the car, I am again amazed at the beauty this hidden gem held for me this day. My body seemed to forget I had put it through quite the workout, climbing 1,542 feet in total vert during this amazing run and at times moving along at a fairly decent pace, completing the 8 miles in one just under an hour and a half. I am excited to run this gem of a trail again in this great state of Utah.
That top photo is absolutely amazing! That is what Wasatch single track is all about!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the picture as well. Just wish it was a bit higher quality.
