Running Week in Review - Just ten miles
The week started out promising, but I sputtered as the week continued. In fact on Saturday I woke up with such a big headache, blood pumping through my brain did not sound fun at all and I just stayed home for the day instead.
This next week will be the last week I can run for a couple of weeks as I am getting a very small procedure done. The doc says no running for a couple of weeks after the procedure so I will essentially be starting over again when I can resume running. Hopefully after I am able to resume running, I will be able to go full tilt and get ready for my upcoming races early in the year.
When I am able to get back to actually being able to exercise normally again, I am hoping I can start to integrate strength training back into my regimen. I am hoping next year I will stay consistent in my strength training. I am still convinced this is probably my missing link of me being able to qualify for Boston. Without it, I fear I am not gifted enough physically ever getting there without it. Maybe I need to increase my mileage yet even more. Who knows, but, I feel this is my best opportunity of getting there. I have a few other ideas in the running department, which I believe will aid me in preparing for a Boston Marathon attempt as well. Guess we will see what this year holds. Lastly, I wasn't able to get in a trail run this week, ultra sad face.
