Running Week in Review - 25 more miles and ready for some races

My running has come along pretty nicely as of late, and am excited to see how this year turns out. I am excited for my running schedule this year as I have a race just about every month from February to September. I am excited to include my first trail race this year as well and am interested to see how I can do on the dirt. I am kind of a klutz though, so we will see how I fair. At any rate, the variety will be fun this year.

My ultimate goal though is to be able to get a real strong marathon under my belt this year. My last marathon I am proud of because of how I was able to gut out a new PR in the marathon despite having my legs blew up on me not even six miles into the race. My mental strength during the race was better than it has ever been in the past, which was a positive experience for me knowing if I need to gut it out in the pain cave, I will be able to.

My running has included lots of hills this year, which has been fun....mostly. I know this will be super beneficial for me down the road, and am already seeing positive results. I am still making sure I get a couple of easy runs in during the week to make sure I keep the chance of injury as low as possible.

Anyways, things in general are going really well, and I am hoping I can keep running fun until marathon training time. I need to get as fit and as fast as possible before the real work begins.
